Step 1: Baseline survey
We will carry out a cockroach identification, risk and vulnerability survey to give us information on the type of cockroach, risks to attack by other cockroach species and other pests and extent of possibility of this attack
Step 2: Sanitation
The first step in addressing any cockroach problem is sanitation. We will do a thorough clean up to remove sources of food, water, and harborage. Be especially careful about things and refuse that can provide roaches with a protected place to live.
Step 3: Rapid Population Reduction
The next step is to use non-chemical methods to quickly reduce the population. One of the easiest and best ways to do this is to limit their movement to make it impossible for them to spread.
Step 4: Chemical Treatment
After sanitation and population reduction, chemical treatment should be used to kill off the remaining roaches. There are several chemicals in the market which can be utilized to control cockroaches. We will indicate in our baseline survey report which chemicals we intent to use as are required by the law. However, we will follow the instructions and observe all safety precautions relating to use, storage, and disposal.
In the use of chemicals precision, not quantity is the key to applying cockroach pesticides effectively. Make sure to get hard-to-reach places such as the underside of the kitchen sink where it is attached to the counter.
We will take special care must when applying pesticides in places where food is stored, prepared, or served; in dresser drawers, night-tables, or other places where clothing is stored; or in desk drawers where the user's hand may come in contact with sloppily applied pesticide.
There are many variables affecting the effectiveness of cockroach treatment. After all, these critters have been defying our efforts to eradicate them for a long time. So if after following the steps above, we don't see a reduction in roach activity within two weeks probably due to resistance, then your infestation may require a repeat service which will be free of charge.
