Most water sources for commercial, residential or household use come from either; Ground water supplies, Surface water supplies and Rainwater supplies. All these water sources can be either contaminated by seepage from sewage. They can also contain dissolved chemicals and all these need water treatment services and products.
Large scale (State/Municipal) water treatment service.
The stages illustrated in the diagram above entail the following;
Step 1
Coagulants are added to the water (A) and then mixed together. Heavy particles in the water begin to stick together and form large clumps.
Step 2
Water is allowed to settle in a tank and heavy particles drop to the bottom. These particles are then scrapped away to be used as fertilizer.
Step 3
Water is then filtered through layers of fine granulated materials. As particles are removed, turbidity diminishes and clear water emerges.
Step 4
To protect against any bacteria, viruses and other microbes that might remain, a disinfectant (B) is added before the water flows into underground reservoirs.
Step 5
PH is maintained by adding alkaline substances (C) to reduce corrosion in the distribution system and the plumbing in your home.
